BALDWIN CITY — Stanley Joe Clark, 87, passed away Monday, Nov. 19, 2018, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Stanley was born Sept. 22, 1931, in McPherson, the son of the late Joe and Nan (Wann) Clark. He was the husband of Diana K. Clark.
Stan was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He earned a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from the Kansas State University, before getting his PhD. from Purdue University. Stan was a professor of agricultural engineering at Kansas State University.
He is survived by: his wife, Diana K Clark, of the home; daughters, Marvette Ralston (Lonnie) of Baldwin City, Christie Barber (Steve) of Nacogdoches, Texas, Angelia Bennie (Bob) of Lincoln, Neb., Cynthia Lowry (Jim) of St. George, and Michelle Clark of Baldwin City; brother, Charles Clark (Susan) of McPherson; grandchildren, Heather Staab, Derek Ralston, Holly Rickner, Jason Barber, Allison Hayes, Ashton Barber, Jake Bennie, Jessica Hahn, Sadie Collet, Sam Bennie, Roni Bradley, Jimmy Lowry, Joey Lowry, and Grace Lowry; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Stan was preceded in death by: his parents; brother, Maurice Clark; and sisters, Lucille Abell, Laurine Soderstrom, Fern Malm, and Ann Mae Ledy.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at New Gottland Covenant Church, 1700 Pawnee Rd., rural McPherson with Pastor Richard Austin officiating. Burial will be in New Gottland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church, from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
