Jackson Dairy, located next to Dillon’s Warehouse on E. Fourth Avenue, will soon be adding another new set of milk tanks.
The business obtained a $950,000 building permit last week from the city of Hutchinson.
Construction is expected to start this week, said Jackson Dairy spokesman Curt Widdison in an email.
The project will add four additional tanks to the facility, Widdison said, which should be installed in early January.
“These tanks will add versatility to our process and ensure we are able to maintain our high freshness expectations for our customers,” he said.
The permit states the project will also include a new pad and alcove for Jackson Dairy. The contractor is Wichita builder Conco Inc.
The facility, owned by Kroger, added a 60,000-gallon silo just last summer to double capacity for its organic Simple Truth Brand milk.
