Three people were injured late Wednesday in a one-car crash in Atchison County, and two of the victims were taken to area hospitals by air ambulance, authorities said.

The crash was reported at 9:52 p.m. Wednesday on US-59 highway, about 2 miles south of the city of Atchison.

The Kansas Highway Patrol said a 2015 Chrysler 200 car was northbound on US-59 when it crossed the center line and southbound lane before leaving the roadway to the west and overturning.

The driver, Jacquez R. Martin, 20, of Chicago, was taken by ambulance to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, Mo. The patrol said Martin was wearing a seat belt.

A passenger, Nicholas R. Lillibridge, 21, of Loves Park, Ill., was taken by LifeStar air ambulance to Mosaic Life Care. The patrol said Lillibridge was wearing a seat belt.

Another passenger, Deandre L. Brown, 22, of Country Club Hills, Ill., was taken by LifeNet air ambulance to the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kan. He wasn't wearing a seat belt, according to the patrol.
