A motorcyclist suffered injuries believed to be life-threatening Wednesday at a crash in southeast Topeka, authorities said on scene.

The incident was reported at 1:18 p.m. at S.E. 45th and Horseshoe Bend, between S.W. Topeka Blvd. and S.E. Adams. Shawnee County Sheriff Herman Jones said the motorcyclist rear-ended a four-door Honda passenger car.

Both vehicles were eastbound on S.E. 45th. The motorcycle was lying on its left hand side while the driver was transported to a hospital.

“He wasn’t doing well,” Jones said.

The Honda’s rear windshield was broken out, and the car had damage on its right bumper.
