Three co-defendants were bound over for trial Tuesday in a July 23 double homicide case.

Shawnee County District Attorney Mike Kagay said the court found probable cause in the cases of:

• Matthew D. Hutto, 19, who is charged with two counts of premeditated first-degree murder, two alternative counts of first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, possession of methamphetamine and aggravated burglary

• Richard D. Showalter, 31, who is charged with two counts of premeditated first-degree murder, two alternative counts of first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, possession of methamphetamine and aggravated burglary

• Bradley D. Sportsman, 41, who is charged with two counts of premeditated first-degree murder, two alternative counts of first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, criminal discharge of a firearm at an occupied dwelling and aggravated burglary

Lisa R. Sportsman, 28, and her cousin Jesse Polinskey, 17, were found dead of blunt force trauma at Lisa Sportsman's residence at 3541 S.E. Girard. Bradley and Lisa Sportsman were estranged husband and wife.

The two-day preliminary hearing concluded Tuesday. An outburst occurred following Monday's hearing, resulting in an admonishment from Judge David Debenham.

The three defendants, who each have a $1 million bond, remain at the Shawnee County Jail.

Their cases will go to trial separately, Kagay said.
