An Emmy-award winning actor and comedian will bring his talents to the Salt City.

Leslie Jordan, best known for his role in “Will & Grace” where he won the prestigious award, will be making a stop at the Hutchinson Fox Theatre on March 16 as part of his comedy tour, "Exposed."

Tickets go on sale online Thanksgiving Day at and will be available in-person at the theatre after the holiday.

Jordan’s show discusses his life as a 4-foot-11 effeminate male growing up in the south.

“He’s got an incredible story to tell; it’s funny, it’s serious,” Jon Powell said. “He keeps you rolling.”

Powell is the founder of Salt City Pride. The organization, along with Hutchinson Area Equality Coalition, helped bring Jordan to Hutchinson.

Powell said Hutchinson is Jordan’s only stop in Kansas during the tour. It cost the groups $15,000 to bring Jordan to the Fox Theatre for roughly 90-minutes of entertainment, he said.

Jordan will do a meet-and-greet after the show in the theatre lobby.

Most of the tickets will be $49, except for front-row seating that will go for $69. Powell believes the 1,221-seat theatre will sell out the way it did for Vicki Lawrence in 2016.

Lawrence and Jordan both star in a TV show called “The Cool Kids,” along with actors David Alan Grier and Martin Mull.

Powell said he’s been working to bring Jordan to Hutchinson for two years. He said they crossed the t’s and dotted the i’s back in August but waited until this week to officially make the announcement.
